Jewelry Care Instructions

Each piece of Meander Works jewelry is made by hand and should be cared for gently. It is carefully made, durable, and will last as long as it is cared for properly. These instructions will help prolong the life and finish of the jewelry.

All jewelry should be stored carefully in a sealed plastic bag or jewelry box after each use to prolong its life, integrity, and patina. Storing your jewelry carefully will also help prevent tarnishing.

Sterling Silver - (bright or matte finish) you may use a soft toothbrush and toothpaste to gently scrub away tarnish. Silver cleaner also works well.

Oxidized finish (a dark patina) - you should never have to clean it. Using any tarnish removing products will destroy the blackened finish intended for the piece.

Gold - solid gold pieces will never tarnish. If cleaning is needed you may use a soft toothbrush and toothpaste to gently scrub away residue.

Vermeil - the thick gold plating is still just on the surface - be especially careful to avoid scratches when cleaning.

Steel - store away from water in a sealed plastic bag. If rust should form, scrub with dish soap and fine steel wool.
